About the Course:
A human being’s personal ethics determine individual standards of right and wrong. Ethics allow employees to determine what they should do in a given situation. Each employee develops ethical standards, and it is the responsibility of everyone to examine personal morals and behaviour. In business, ethics refers to the behaviour relating to the moral problems that occur in business organizations.
Workplace ethics are the moral principles that govern a person’s or group’s behaviour in the workplace or when representing a company.
This Ethics and Compliance training will guide trainees on creating a positive working environment, when to speak up, and how to behave ethically in the workplace.
Some legislation gives a clear definition on what behaviour is acceptable or unacceptable, but ethics is often open to interpretation.
Employees have a responsibility to protect their company’s good name by behaving ethically and identifying what is and is not ethical behaviour. Employees should not feel like they must face ethical challenges alone, and training is a critical defence against that.
